Creative Director Anne-Claire Petre.
French-born, Melbourne-based designer Anne-Claire Petre is passionate about design principles and believes that the simplicity of shapes and the use of thoughtful details are essentials to create beautiful and lasting products.
International studies in industrial and furniture design in France and Scotland and an associateship at the Jamfactory in Adelaide, developed her understanding of design, materials and processes. In Melbourne she worked for some well-known furniture companies including Jardan Australia, where she collaborated on some designs for the company’s timber collection.
In early 2012 with over 10 years of industry experience, Anne-Claire started anaca studio to create her own range of eco-friendly, locally made furniture.
Design Philosophy
A beautiful space doesn’t have to cost the earth. Beautiful pieces are for everyone. They can be new, old, cheap or expensive but they must be well chosen. Think green and sustainable when and where possible. Try and surround yourself with inspiring and interesting objects that make you happy and create an inviting, relaxing space that defines your persona.
