On Designing The Toulouse Sofa.

The creation of new pieces for the anaca studio range is always a considered affair.

When it came time to design our Toulouse sofa, I had a pretty clear vision in mind. The aim was to create a soft and inviting sofa underpinned with a minimalist approach. I wanted to capture the essence of contemporary living, where style meets substance and every detail is carefully curated.

My extensive experience working on showroom floors, before starting Anaca Studio, has taught me a lot about what most individuals were looking for in a sofa and what their frustrations were. Low-rise seating and inadequate back support often leave people yearning for more comfort and substance. That's precisely why we made it our mission to tackle these prevalent issues head-on.

With Toulouse, we've fine-tuned the proportions to strike the perfect balance between form and function. No more sacrificing comfort for aesthetics or vice versa. We've refined the visual appeal to ensure Toulouse is not just a piece of furniture, but a statement of style.

The design of the back was not forgotten. The subtly slanted back of the sofa frame ensures a sculptural view from all angles, making it ideal for open spaces where it needs to be placed in the middle of the room.

Now, let's explore the core of Toulouse: its cushioning. We've chosen a feather wrap cushioning with a foam core, striking the ideal balance between plush softness and sturdy support, all while maintaining its shape impeccably. This not only guarantees effortless maintenance but also offers a relaxed and informal, lived-in look.

Finally, Toulouse comes in two depths to cater to every preference. Whether you prefer a more upright seating experience or love to sink into your sofa for ultimate comfort, we've got you covered. Choose from the shallow version at 850mm for narrow spaces or a preference for more upright seating and back support or indulge in the deep version at 950mm for those who favour ultimate sink-in comfort.
